Where to buy
You can buy at torontoy.com or the ticket office in Aguas Calientes. Avoid street sellers, as some charge more.
How far ahead?
Online sales open about 30 days ahead. We recommend buying at least 4 days before your visit.
Rules to know
- Board the bus 1 hour before your Machu Picchu entrance time.
- Bring your physical ID.
- Your ticket shows the date of use and direction of travel.
- It's valid from one day before to two days after that date.
- You can request one date change, up to 24 hours ahead.
What about Consettur?
Consettur ran the route for years. A dispute over the concession began in 2025, and in 2026 both companies were reported to be operating temporarily. When we checked www.consettur.com on October 31, 2026, Chrome showed a security warning, so we don't link to it.
Is it worth walking up?
It's free, but it's about 3.4 km uphill on steps and takes 1 h 30 to 2 h.
